Influencia de la Personalidad y la Inteligencia Emocional en los Estilos de Liderazgo

Abstract

En la actualidad las organizaciones requieren que su personal de nivel superior jerárquico tenga un estilo definido de liderazgo, el cual les sirva de insumo con sus colaboradores y transmitir la importancia del logro de los objetivos planteados. Por otro lado, en un mundo tan competitivo es relevante analizar la influencia de la personalidad en los distintos estilos de liderazgo, como lo son el transformacional y transaccional, y así conseguir que las estrategias funcionales generen una ventaja competitiva. Las emociones son uno de los aspectos más fascinantes de la existencia humana. Juegan un papel central en las relaciones interpersonales debido a su fuerte influencia sobre los pensamientos y comportamientos. Las personas con mayor inteligencia emocional (IE) son propensos a tener una ventaja natural durante la manipulación de las relaciones interpersonales, ya que pueden leer el lenguaje corporal de los demás de una manera más precisa y también son buenos para recoger las señales emocionales durante las interacciones. Por esta razón en un mundo actual tan competitivo es relevante conocer las implicancias de la IE en los estilos de liderazgo y así poder comprender el éxito de las organizaciones que cuentan con líderes emblemáticos.
