Las cooperativas como motor de desarrollo en las zonas rurales desde la perspectiva de género en la Comunitat Valenciana (España)
Abstract
This paper aims to position cooperatives as a business model capable of sustaining employment, especially for women, in depopulated areas within the Valencian Community (CV). To achieve this, we conducted a study on a sample of 1,395 cooperatives located in the CV, analyzing the demographic situation of 107 municipalities in 15 regions with a high or very high risk of depopulation in relation to the issues of rural abandonment and female employment, using various databases. The results of the study reveal that women face significant obstacles in rural areas that lead to their departure from the region, and that cooperatives can serve as a suitable instrument for preserving employment. It is advisable to promote the settlement of families with children, encourage pro-natal policies, and establish tax incentives and deductions for residents of depopulated municipalities, as well as promote cooperatives to strengthen the business structure of the area.El derecho de autor se conserva en los autores de la revista.
