Delusion of parasitosis

Abstract

Delusional parasitosis is a psychotic disorder in which the patient has the false belief of being infested. We present the case of an adult patient with an underlying depressive episode who presents with self-inflicted skin lesions due to the belief that organisms crawl and come out of her skin.
